Truck Rollover Injures College Students

In December of 2015, a group of five college students was traveling in a pickup truck. The driver of the truck was driving recklessly and caused the truck to rollover multiple times. Our client was a passenger sitting in the back seat of the truck. She sustained significant injuries to her neck and shoulder that required surgery. She was also diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. Her physical injuries still cause problems to this day, and her brain injury has resulted in significant impairments and troubles in her school work.

When the insurance company refused to even pay her medical bills, the car accident attorney at The Flowers Law Firm stepped into the case and immediately filed suit against the driver of the truck.

Driving 80 mph in a Truck that had a “Tendency to Fishtail”

During the course of the case, it was learned that the truck was poorly maintained and had a “tendency to fishtail.” That’s not normal. Despite knowing the dangers, the driver of the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed. One witness in the vehicle testified under oath that the driver was driving as much as 80 miles per hour at the time of the wreck.

Ultimately, after a year of litigation and just before trial, the insurance company made an offer of settlement that would pay off the medical bills and also put enough money in her own pocket to help care for her future.
